I’m asked this question often “Is there any difference between Compatible & Genuine”?

I also get asked all the time “do your compatibles work”? This pisses me right off.

The answer is that the Genuine Inks are made specifically for the printer to the highest possible specifications and work extremely well.

HOWEVER, Do I always buy Genuine? The answer is not always.

Compatible Toner and Inks are so much cheaper and in 99% of cases work very well.

The downsides are that if you have purchased a new printer it will have a warranty, within the wording of that warranty will be some terminology that will state that you must use Genuine ink or Toner during the period of the warranty. So if you do use Compatible ink or Toner it may well invalidate your warranty. “Think I used the word Warranty too many times there”?

Also there’s a higher chance that the Toner or Ink might fail due to a faulty chip or whatever.

its also worth remembering that compatible colours just simply won’t have the dynamic definition that can be achieved by using the Genuine Article.

THEN WHY USE COMPATIBLE?

So much cheaper, so much cheaper, so much cheaper are three great reason’s, as well as they work well most of the time especially if it’s for ‘General printing” around the office or home.

It is a good idea to always have a spare on hand “just in case” but you can easily do that because let’s say it again they are “So much Cheaper”.
